Training program on value addition of fish & fishery products

To benefit the community around the FC&RI, Ponneri campus, a training programme on ‘value added fishery products’ was conducted for two day from 15.03.2016 to 16.03.2016. Eighteen  members were attended from different places.  (10 members from Pazhaverkadu, 3 members from Ponneri, 1 entrepreneur from Coimbatore) were attended the training programme.  Theory classes were handled on fish in human nutrition, production packing & quality control of fishery products.           Practical sessions were handled on making of fish cutlet, fish ball, fish pickle, prawn pickle, fish burger, fish kebab and fish biryani. Training programme was conducted by DFPT, Ponneri. Certificates were distributed to the trainees by our Dean, FC&RI, Ponneri.
