The orientation programme for 2017-18 batch students of B.E. (Fisheries Engineering) was conducted at College of Fisheries Engineering, Tamil Nadu Fisheries University, Nagapattinam on 18.09.2017. Twenty one students (15 boys and 6 girls) have been admitted for B.E. (Fisheries Engineering) at College of Fisheries Engineering, Nagapattinam through counseling process. Out of 21 students, four students (3 boys and 1 girl) were selected under NRI quota. Presidential address was delivered by Dr. S. Balasubramanian, Dean who explained the job opportunities, scope of the B.E. (Fisheries Engineering) course and he also introduced the faculty strength of our college to the parents and students. The students were exposed for rules and regulation by students Co-ordinator, Er. C. Mercy Amrita. Senior students of B.E. (Fisheries Engineering) shared about their experience, stay at college and hostel to the freshers. A visit to Disease Diagnosis Laboratory, Water Quality Laboratory, Fish processing (Metro) Laboratory was arranged for new batch students. Er. C. Mercy Amrita and Dr. R. Brimapureeswaran, Assistant Professors coordinated the event.
